New Billboard Calls Attention to Joseph's Need for a Kidney

A billboard is a great way to spread the word about the need for a living donor! Joseph's family worked with Lamar Advertising of Buffalo to share his need.

"Joseph likes to golf, loves his grandkids, needs a kidney," the billboard notes. "Make a difference, call ECMC (716) 898-4931."

The graphic also includes the URL transplantinfo.com, a website that hosts quick and clear videos about kidney transplantation. People dealing with kidney disease can watch videos like "Can I Get a Kidney Transplant?" Someone considering donation may be interested in watching "Who can be a Kidney Donor?" Others who want to help may view "Caregivers Make Transplant Possible" and related titles. Dr. Liise Kayler of ECMC and the University at Buffalo has been working with researchers, community members, and patients to create the videos explaining information about kidney transplantation in accessible ways.
