The Kidney Foundation of Western New York hosts and participated in provides events for the general public, as well as for professionals, patients and families in the region. 

Past events have included the Walk for Kidney Health, patient picnics, the Kidney Bean Cook-Off, the Gift of Life Dinner, professional education sessions, free kidney health screenings and more. 

Screening in Warsaw on Aug. 30, 2022

The Kidney Foundation of Western New York will offer a free community kidney health screening on Tuesday, August 30. The event will take place from 5:30-8:00 p.m. at St. Michael RC Church, 171 N. Main St., Warsaw, NY 14569. 

The screening is free and no health insurance information or other documentation is needed. It includes a blood pressure test, body mass index calculation, a blood glucose finger-prick test, and a urine test. Participants will end the screening by reviewing their results with a medical professional.

The screening is part of an initiative funded by a grant from the William H. Thiel Trust at the Community Foundation for Greater Buffalo.
