Having Your Donor Find You!

Those in need of a kidney transplant can learn strategies for reaching potential living donors through a program now available online. The Kidney Foundation of Western New York has partnered with the Living Kidney Donors Network to make the video-based program available to people in our region.

The program is free and kidney patients, families and medical professionals can register online at https://havingyourdonorfindyou.org/kfwny/

 

Harvey Mysel, a two-time living kidney transplant recipient and founder of the not-for-profit Living Kidney Donors Network (LKDN), has been helping kidney patients for over a decade by giving workshops at transplant centers and dialysis clinics.

 

The Kidney Foundation of WNY helped arrange in-person workshops led by Harvey in 2017 and 2019. Participants told us that they found the program very helpful, and we're excited to be able to offer this valuable resource in a new way.
