Transplant Athletes Wanted!
Team Buffalo welcomes organ, cornea, tissue and bone marrow transplant recipients, as well as living donors and donor families to join us as competitors in the Transplant Games of America. To be eligible for athletic challenges, competitors must be at least nine months post transplant and be in good health.
The Games include special activities for donor families, and Team Buffalo also welcomes other supporters to help us celebrate the power of donation and transplantation.
The next Transplant Games of America will take place in Birmingham, Alabama from July 5-July 10, 2024.
Team Buffalo
Team Buffalo is made up of members of the Western New York transplant community who participate in the Transplant Games of America every other year.
Team Buffalo works to bring together organ, eye, tissue and bone marrow recipients; living donors; donor families; and donation and transplant professionals. The team celebrates the success of transplantation, honors the legacy of donors and provide hope to those who continue to wait. Team Buffalo promotes donor registration through individual and team efforts and events.
Team Buffalo is a program of the Kidney Foundation of WNY, with support from ConnectLife.

Transplant Games of America
The Donate Life Transplant Games is a multi-sport festival event produced by the Transplant Life Foundation for individuals who have undergone life-saving transplant surgeries. Competition events are open to living donors, organ transplant recipients, bone marrow, corneal and tissue transplant recipients. More than an athletic event, the Donate Life Transplant Games highlight the critical importance of organ, eye, and tissue donation, while celebrating the lives of organ donors and recipients.
