ConnectLife Blood and Organ Donor Network is seeking members to serve on the Minority Donation and Transplant Stakeholders Council. The new council will assist ConnectLife in ongoing efforts to build relationships with the diverse cultural, ethnic and religious communities in Western New York.

The council’s recommendations and input will be valuable to ConnectLife leadership and staff working to improve organ, eye and tissue donation programs and communication. Areas of focus will include health equity concerns specific to communities in our region.

Individuals connected to donation and transplantation – such as those waiting for transplants, transplant recipients and donor families – are encouraged to participate, though a personal connection is not a requirement.

Minority Donation and Transplant Stakeholders Council members will be invited to meet with donation professionals and attend workshops on related topics, in addition to taking part in council meetings.

Anyone interested in joining the council or learning more can contact Jeremy Morlock at jmorlock@kfwny.org.
