ECMC Performed 143 Transplants in 2024

Erie County Medical Center announced on Thursday that the Regional Center of Excellence for Transplantation and Kidney Care performed 143 kidney transplants in 2024.

"We are thrilled to announce that we were able to help 143 people through kidney transplantation in 2024," ECMC posted on Facebook. "Thank you to all our donors and donor families for their life-saving gifts. We also appreciate our community nephrologists and partners in organ procurement for making this possible. There are still many people in our community whose lives and health could be improved with a kidney transplant. We will continue our outreach efforts and do all that we can to help everyone who needs a kidney."
