The Kidney Foundation of Western New York (KFWNY) was established in 2015 to address two related areas of need: community awareness and patient support. In the broader community, KFWNY works to raise awareness of kidney disease, increase knowledge of risk factors, and provide information on prevention and treatment. For individuals dealing with kidney disease, KFWNY’s role includes providing patient support and advocacy, offering information on health care options, and assisting with emergency financial, nutritional or transportation needs.

The Kidney Foundation of WNY is dedicated to increasing community awareness of kidney disease and other related diseases while educating and improving the lives of those we serve.

The Kidney Foundation of WNY is an affiliate of the New York Center for Kidney Transplantation and Donate Life New York State.

ConnectLife, the Blood and Organ Donor Network for Western New York, provides crucial support for the Kidney Foundation of WNY, including office space and administrative services. The Kidney Foundation of WNY is incorporated as a separate non-profit organization from ConnectLife but shares a corporate board of directors.
