Outstanding Community Partner Award

The Civic and Community Engagement Office at Buffalo State College named Kidney Foundation Director Jeremy Morlock as recipient of the Outstanding Community Partner Award for 2019-2020.

The award is presented to a community agency, group or institution that demonstrated excellence in collaborative work with Buffalo State, resulting in a partnership that produced positive differences in the community and enhanced student learning.

“From the beginning of the service-learning experience to its end, Mr. Morlock was involved,” the college noted an an announcement of the award. “He began by coming to class to acquaint students with the role of the Kidney Foundation of WNY. He subsequently invited the students to his office, where he had assembled other directors to share their knowledge. He also worked side-by-side with our students as they worked to create a video that could be a teaching tool for kidney disease and donor awareness.”

“At semester’s end, Mr. Morlock attended a trivia night in Bulger Communication Center, organized and hosted by our students, to raise awareness and funds for his agency. His commitment to the importance of the work his agency does was clearly evident and he served as an excellent role model for our students.”
